Firmware upgrades
ROM v3.11 update
README::As part of our effort to continuously refine product performance, Ioline has provided significant improvements for paper tracking and handling in some of the earlier Summit machines. The improvements have made installation of the paper on the front shaft much less critical and provides smoother, longer paper takeup.
When you install the version 3.11 ROM on your machines, you will immediately notice differences in how the paper take-up is accomplished. In particular, you will note the gentle action on the paper wrap-up on the front roll, and the improved tracking of markers. The version ROM has been successfully tested with various weights and widths of paper to 250 yards.
For Summits that have been equipped with the wand-style frame sensor, the updates are available as ROM Part Number 105058 - 90 in Version 3.11. Price is $95.00. (The improvements are not available unless the Summit is equipped with the wand-style frame sensor in place of the box sensor found on the carriage on early Summit models.)
The wand style-frame sensor was incorporated in the carriages for Summits built beginning October 1994. It has also been provided as a sensor upgrade for many earlier units. If your Summit still has a box sensor, that carriage can be upgraded by ordering PN 105052-90 Frame Sensor Assy (Price $685), in addition to the ROM.
Please contact customer service to order a ROM set or carriage upgrade. Be sure to provide the Serial Numbers for the plotters involved and the part number of the item you are ordering (see above). Shipment will be made within 5 working days.Summit FAQ
