Ioline debuts inkjet plotter
for boutiques and schools
WOODINVILLE, Wash.—Ioline Corp. introduced the StudioJet, a 40-inch-wide inkjet plotter tailored to the marker-making operations of boutique shops, inhouse design departments and academic programs.
The StudioJet is competitively priced compared with general purpose HP® and other wide-format plotters, but offers designers four times the throughput, greater ease of use, an output solution that conforms to their work flow, and the ability to plot longer files.
Unlike standard plotters, the StudioJet can directly plot marker files downloaded from clients’ sites using Ioline’s automated queue management system, FlexPlot, which comes packaged with the machine. FlexPlot reads virtually any apparel software format and queues up files, freeing the designer to attend to other tasks.
The StudioJet takes less time to set up than other plotters and offers additional timesaving features, including the ability replace an inkjet cartridge without having to realign the head or cancel and resend a job. It’s also equipped with Ioline’s trademark universal keypad, which eliminates cumbersome LCD menus and enables rapid, on-the-fly adjustments to print resolution.
The StudioJet uses longer-lasting, high-capacity HP® inkjet cartridges and borrows several features found on Ioline’s higher-end inkjet models: the best print resolution in the industry (300 d.p.i. draft mode / 600 d.p.i. best mode) and three line-thickness settings to help control the cost of consumables.
One person can quickly load the paper, thanks to the front-load design and an intuitive paper feed path. The machine plots markers as long as 600 yards on media ranging from 8 to 44 inches in width. It handles 27-pound recycled paper on up to 150-pound tag board.
Like all Ioline products, the StudioJet is manufactured in the United States, and engineered for low maintenance and simple end-user serviceability. Ioline stands behind its product quality as the only marker plotter manufacturer to offer lifetime-free technical support.
